Handbook of Applications of Chaos Theory

Dear Colleagues and Handbook Contributors

We are happy to announce this webpage related to the Handbook of Applications of Chaos Theory.

We will give and receive related information from all the Handbook Contributors.

General Guidelines and Deadlines.

A first deadline is February 28 for an Abstract or a Schedule of the article and proposals for adding/deleting/changing the Handbook chapters and sub-chapters

A second deadline is April 30 for the first draft of every Contribution.

A meeting is scheduled between 11-14 of June during the Chaotic Modeling and Simulation International Conference (CHAOS2013) in Istanbul, Turkey (http://www.cmsim.org ). Those who are not present should have sent their contributions and suggestions for discussion.

There are two main manuscript preparation guidelines: Latex 2e chapters using the Template given here and MS Word chapters  typed in double space and figure files stored separately.

We recommend to prefer the Latex 2e system instead of MS Word in case you are familiar with both styles.

Please use original material, figures and tables. If material is already published elsewere you should notify us to ask for permissions.

The form of the Handbook and the related chapters appear in the Handbook_CHAOS_LATEX_Template.zip.

Download the related files and see the form of the book in PDF format. When using Latex (Tex 2e) you can enter your chapter in Chapter2 of the template. For MS Word users the Chapter2 gives a very good example on how your chapter should look.

Please follow the guidelines from the example.

The articles would be survey like in nature, not research papers and they would have a uniform set up. Usually each article starts with an introduction, then sections on the core material, ending up with more advanced/research material towards the end of the article, and finishing up with a summary and then references. Articles should be between 15 – 35 pages long depending on the topic.

An estimate and the chapter form is given in Chapter Form template. You can propose add-ons and new chapters. Large chapters could handled by 2 or more contributors.

The estimated No of handbook pages is 1100.
